Dahil maraming tao ang nahihirapang babaan ang pride nila, we gathered 9 Bible verses about humility for you to ponder.

Maraming relasyon ang nasira dahil sa pride. Maraming paa ang naapakan dahil sa pride. At maraming tao ang nasaktan dahil sa pride.

Pride has never been good for people. And if you will go back and read about God’s creation, it was also pride that brought down Lucifer to the depths of hell. Alam mo ba na si Lucifer ang isa sa pinakamalapit sa trono ni LORD dati sa langit?

But because of pride, he lost his position, his power, and access sa presensya ni LORD.

At ngayon, he wants you to do the same and entice you to be prideful. But take heart! We gathered 9 Bible verses about humility that will teach you why it’s important to stay humble.

1. God listens to the humble.

“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14, NLT).

2. God favors the humble.

“And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6, NLT).

3. God exalts the humble.

For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted” (Luke 14:11, NLT).

4. God asks His chosen people to be humble.

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience” (Colossians 3:12, NLT).

5. God requires you to walk humbly with Him.

“No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8, NLT).

6. God instructs us to live in harmony with each other.

Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!” (Romans 12:16, NLT)

7. God guides the humble.

“The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way.” (Psalm 25:8-9, NLT).

8. God crowns the humble with victory.

“For the Lord delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory” (Psalm 149:4, NLT).

9. God commands us to be humble and follow Jesus’ example.

“You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross” (Philippians 2:5-8, NLT).

There you have it, Breaker! We hope that you learn why humility is better than pride.

An unknown author once said, “A bad day for the ego is a good day for the soul.”

There are moments when we’re being humbled by embarrassment, disappointment, and rejection, but it’s good for our soul!

Pinapaalala nito sa atin na hindi lang tayo ang magaling, na hindi tayo laging tama, at hindi natin alam ang sagot sa lahat ng bagay.

Sabi pa nga ni Joyce Meyer, “Humility is the hardest virtue to come by, but it’s the most important thing we can develop. To not think you’re better than any people.”
