Ano ‘yang ikinaka-worry mo?

Bayarin sa bahay?

Health ng family?

Future mo?

Normal lang to feel anxious, Breaker.

Overcome anxiety 01

Hindi ka weird or weak for feeling that. It’s just how your mind and body reacts sa mga bagay outside your control.

Napansin mo siguro na madalas kang ma-anxious lately, ‘no?

‘Yung struggle na despite your strong faith in the LORD, nahihirapan ka pa ring i-overcome ang fear and anxiety.

Okay lang magpakatotoo rito, Breaker.

Naranasan din ni Carl Pascua ‘yan. Inamin niya in his Beyond Small Talk video ‘yung battle niya with anxiety kahit na isa siyang pastor, and meron siyang solutions for you how to BreakThrough anxiety.

Take note of these tips.

BreakThrough Anxiety Tip #1: Reconnect with your loved ones.

Breaker, you need to “surround yourself with people who are willing to journey with you,” sabi nga ni Carl.

Someone you trust na mapagsasabihan mo lang ng iniisip or nararamdaman mo. It will make you feel na merong nakakaintindi sa ‘yo at malalagpasan mo rin ang mga pagsubok.

I-chat mo na si pinsan.

I-text na si BFF.

I-call na si kapatid.

Kung si Nemo nga may Marlin sa Finding Nemo. Si Harry may Ron and Hermione sa Harry Potter. Si Rachel may Monica, Ross, Chandler, Phoebe, and Joey sa Friends, dapat ikaw rin.

Ipinapakita lang dito na life is not supposed to be lived alone, okay?

Lamoyon?

BreakThrough Anxiety Tip #2: Spend time praying and reading the Bible.

Overcome anxiety 03

Turn your worry time to prayer time. Kapag napapansin mo na nalulunod ka in your anxious thoughts, signal ‘yun to pray and allow the Word of the LORD na mag-speak sa ‘yo.

Check mo ‘to:

John 14:27 ESV, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

Psalm 23:4 NLT, “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.”

Psalm 121:1-2 NIV, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

This will remind you that the LORD cares for you and He is in control of everything.

BreakThrough Anxiety Tip #3: Do something that can give you fulfillment.

Tanungin mo ang self mo, “What sparks joy in my heart?” or “What makes me feel alive?”

Si crush ba?

Chour! Pinapatawa ka lang. Pero seriously, hanapin mo ‘yun! For Carl, it’s sharing through social media the goodness of the LORD amidst unwanted circumstances.

Nag-open ito ng opportunity for him to build a Christian community online that reached thousands to millions of people who need to hear the Word of the LORD.

Pero sabi nga ni Carl, “This is not about the recognition, it is about what Jesus can do if you will only do things for His glory.

Nakaisip ka na ba ng iyo?

Pray about it. No matter how big or small that “something” is, basta para kay LORD, it’s worth it.
