Sarah G pasok!
“Ikot-ikot lang, ikot-ikot-ikot lang. Ikot-ikot lang, ikot-ikot-ikot.”
Para bang kanta ni Sarah ang buhay mo ngayon, Breaker?
Stuck na nga sa bahay, stuck pa sa buhay.
Nakaka-stress ‘no? Minsan pa nga nakaka-depress kasi hindi ka maka-breakthrough.
Alam mo ‘yung feeling na unfulfilled and unmotivated ka?
Willing ka naman to try new things pero you can’t find the motivation to do it. Hindi mo alam saan at paano magsisimula. Nakaka-grrr.
Tsaka, ‘yung feeling na wala ng spark inside. Gusto mo na lang matapos ‘tong araw na ‘to dahil hindi ka na excited or inspired.
Gusto mo naman magbago for the better but you’re afraid. “You keep sticking with the status quo because it means you won’t have to risk any pain or failure,” sabi ni Kendra Cherry in her article How to Get out of a Rut from Verywell Mind.
Haaay! Nakaka-relate kami sa ‘yo, Breaker.
Darating ka talaga sa point ng life mo that you feel stuck, para kang na-trap sa balong malalim and you keep screaming for “HELP” pero walang makarinig sa ‘yo.
Pero andito kami, Breaker. Rinig ka namin and we’re here to lend a helping hand para maka-breakthrough ka in life!
Start na tayo?
Breakthrough tip #1: Remind yourself that it’s okay to feel stuck.
Hindi mo inexpect ‘yang tip na ‘yan ‘no?
Ie-explain namin. Chill ka lang.
Ganito ‘yan, Breaker.
Sabi ni Paula Durlofsky, PhD in her article Feeling Stuck? How to Help Yourself by Psych Central, “Sometimes the more we resist an emotion or thought, the stronger it becomes.”
So, ano ang dapat gawin?
“Instead of thinking it is wrong or bad to feel stuck, allow yourself to be present in this emotion so your mental energy can go towards figuring out what changes need to be made to move forward, rather than focusing your energy on self-criticism about feeling stuck in the first place,” she added.
Makes sense ‘no?
Pero hindi lang ‘yan.
It is important to know and assess kung bakit ka ba talaga na-stuck.
Alam mo, may article kami about diyan. Read this BreakThrough Feeling Stuck in Life – Paano and Bakit ba Nagkakaganito? so you’ll know the necessary steps to take para maka-breakthrough.
Breakthrough tip #2: Get outside help.
“Getting someone else’s opinion on things can help you see things in a new light,” sabi ng Hope+Wellness in their article Feeling Stuck? Try These 6 Things.
Asking for help is not a sign of weakness.
It takes courage, strength, and humility kaya to reach out to someone kaya it’s time to shift your perspective.
Na-figure out mo nga why you feel stuck, but “maybe a friend or loved one (or therapist) can help you see things from a new angle or come up with some new solutions to try. It can also be refreshing to get your feelings off your chest and open up to someone,” they said.
Kung hindi man nila totally na-solve ang problema mo, the fact that you have someone as your emotional support is already a big help.
Mahirap kaya magkimkim ng feelings.
Breakthrough tip #3: Take good care of yourself.
Have you scheduled Zoom-time with your family and friends?
“If something is lacking in the self-care department, now is the time to address it. Healthy food, adequate sleep, daily exercise, and social support are all essential to your physical and emotional health,” she said.
