It happens to all of us, okay?

Ngayon pa lang kini-clear na namin lalo na kung feeling mo ikaw lang ang nakakaramdam ng pagiging stuck in your walk with God, eh.

Darating ka talaga sa point where praying and Bible reading don’t excite you anymore. Watching church services seem longer and time go slower kasi bored na bored ka na. Dati g na g ka mag-serve, ngayon you’d rather isolate yourself.

Ngayon, feeling stuck ka.

“Day after day, sermon after sermon, small group after small group, we’re discouraged and frightened by a widening gap between the desired self and the real self,” sabi ni Paul Maxwell sa article niyang A Place to Start for Spiritually Stuck People from Desiring God.

Pero ang good news?

Stuck in your walk with God 01

You can BreakThrough! Syempre hindi, pero you must do your part din.

Kaya we’re happy that you’re reading this article kasi alam mo sa sarili mo that you need help.

Tara! Pag-usapan na natin?

Here are 3 BreakThrough tips if you feel stuck in your walk with God.

BreakThrough tip#1: You can be honest with God.

You may be feeling ashamed right now kasi dapat okay ka, eh!

Dapat you read the Bible daily bago ka pumasok sa work.

Dapat you pray and praise kapag nagkakaroon ka ng problema.

Dapat okay ka pero hindi…

During those times when you feel the dirtiest, the messiest, the ugliest, God wants you to come to Him.

“Let’s be honest about what we feel toward God — our tangled thoughts, our slogging feet, our raw experiences, our dulling passions, our disappointed expectations,” Paul said.

Basahin mo ‘yung Book of Psalms! When they go to God, honest sila about how they feel.

Tulad neto…

Listen, God! Please, pay attention! Can you make sense of these ramblings, my groans and cries? King-God, I need your help. (Psalm 5:1-2, MSG)

I’m tired of all this – so tired. My bed has been floating forty days and nights on the flood of my tears. My mattress is soaked, soggy with tears. (Psalm 6:6, MSG)

Kasi alam mo, Breaker, “maybe perseverance in praying out loud — or starting to pray embarrassing feelings out loud to learn that God has no pretense — will be your means of blessing and freedom,” sabi ni Paul.

BreakThrough tip#2: Distracted? Remove it.

One of the reasons you may be feeling stuck is distracting or delaying what God has asked you to do.

Ano or sino ba kasi ‘yang pinapa-let go ni God? Ehem.

“Sometimes there’s a sin in our lives that we don’t want to stop, so we keep ourselves distracted instead of dealing with it. Sometimes we choose distractions because we’re unhappy with the season God has us in and we don’t want to think about it,” in-explain ni Abigail Folds in her article 5 Things Keeping You Stuck in Your Life and Faith (and How to Overcome Them) in iBelieve.

Why not follow this technique from Abigail?

So, what you can do is to set a timer and stick to it. Ikaw bahala, puwedeng 30 minutes or an hour.

Since alam mo na kailangan mo ‘tong tapusin in 30 minutes or an hour, mas makakapag-focus ka kasi you have a goal.

Kung hindi mo man matapos, schedule again tomorrow or on the weekend.

Flexible naman tayo dito.

Okay?

BreakThrough tip#3: Ask yourself these questions.

Is there someone in my life na hindi ko pa nafo-forgive or someone that I need to ask for forgiveness?

May mga areas ba sa buhay ko that takes away my time with God?

Is there something (ministry, project, or job) that God is calling me to step out pero ayaw ko?

Mas pinaniniwalaan ko na ba ‘yung voice ng iba na nagsasabi na “Patapon!” or “Walang talent!” kaysa sa voice ni God na nagsasabi na “You have a purpose” or “You are my beloved child”?

Those are just some questions Chris Russell enumerated sa article niyang 10 Questions to Get “Unstuck” Spiritually from Bible Study Tools.

Mga hindrances kasi ‘yan, Breaker, that may be the cause kung bakit ka stuck in your walk with God and hindi maka-BreakThrough.

So, ano ‘yung sa ‘yo?

Hindi ito para i-judge ka, ah. No!

Look at it as a way of helping you na maging aware ka and then act on it. Not by your own strength but pray and ask God to help you reveal those areas na kailangan ng light Niya.

Remember, that God is a gentle god.

No, Breaker.

In fact, mas gusto pa Niyang lumalapit ka sa Kanya when you are in need kasi He loves teaching His children on the way they should go.

So, ‘wag ka matakot. God wants you to BreakThrough! God loves you!

“The beauty of God’s love is that it survives spiritual dry times. Don’t let the lie sink into your mind that spiritual dryness indicates that God has gotten over you, or that he’s tired of working with you. Far from it,” sabi ni Paul.
